Today is the day - can you even believe it? I was really excited and now I'm really nervous. I think the next stage will be calm, mission focus...with a little help from Ambien :). We have a long pause in Seoul before our flight leaves for Addis. Brian and I decided to make it somewhat of a date night. We have a movie on the ipod and we will have a yummy Korean dinner at the airport. I'm excited to have several days as just the two of us even if we talk about Noah and Myra the whole time.
Last night I decided to double check the baggage limit - just to be sure. Emirates just changed their requirements...good thing I check. We spent last night repacking to meet the weight requirements. We did it, and we are taking some great books, games, prizes to the CHE children. The families in Daegu rallied around us and provided all the donations. Just awesome!
Noah is all settled at the Ayer's. Julie made a special pirate bed for him equipped with a boat and sword. I'm confident that Noah will be overwhelmed, loved, tired, hungry (but well fed) and happy the entire week. It will be a great older brother boot camp!
Andrew is picking us up from the airport in Addis. We get to spend a few hours with him at the Bridge's home. He wants to show us Corre (the leper colony) and introduce us to the Lost Boys at CHE. It will be a full day after a long flight but I cannot wait. Then it's back to the airport to meet up with our travel group and head over the the CHSFS guest house to get the party started.
Ta ta for now...next stop Addis Ababa!!!
