Tuesday and Wednesday

Tuesday was a late start day but all the families at the guest house were ready by 7am to bring our children home. We all sat around the kitchen talking about the kids for 3 hours . It's funny how exciting days start early even if you should take advantage of the extra sleep time. Brian and I dressed up in color coordinating outfit per my request.

The farewell ceremony was wonderful. Myra was absolutely adorable in her cultural clothes coming down the stairs with her favorite nanny. I loved that the cake was served

The first full day with Myra was a dream. This little girl has a wonderful personality and is the most joyful baby. She wakes up with a smile on her face and only cries when you change her clothes. She looks for a smiling face in every room just so she can smile back. Her coo sends you to the moon.

Brian is head over heals in love with her, and I love seeing him be a dad to a daughter. It is a joy to see him grow in love for her. She treats me differently and is still deciding if I'm a person she can trust, but we have months to work on that. The bottle is a struggle for her because the milk does not come fast enough. So, we are feeding her with the little metal cup from the care center and making a HUGE mess each time.

She is taking three naps a day and sleeping through the night with only one feeding at around 2 am. She poops while she is eating. The whole feeding/diaper changing thing takes less than 5 minutes...very effecient! It's been a bit hard for me because I had a dream of feeding time bonding but that will have to wait. Overall, caring for her is super easy and we feel very over prepared. However, I will say for those still to travel, I did not listen to the well established advise of the packing list keepers. I just could not imagine needing 10 bibs, 10 blankets, 20 onies...well, you NEED them and it is a huge pain in the butt to hand wash stuff. So, listen to those list keepers and pack everything on that list.

I came down with a sinus infection after our visit to Corre and was in the bed for all of Wednesday. Andrew prescribed me some antibocitics and picked them up for less than $5. Nothing like a wiki-doctors at your service! Both Myra and I are on antibiotics now and hopefully we will be ready to fly by Thursday evening.

Wow, that's interesting about the feeding pooping thing...very wise child indeed.
By now you are already in the States awaiting her passport. We can't wait to see you all soon.
I want to see that little angel smile in person. Yours too of course. :)
